BACK IN EFFECT - after taking some much needed time to recharge the batteries, the show returns with 2-time CEBL MVP & overall great guy, Xavier Moon of the defending league champion Edmonton Stingers.
Xavier is currently keeping fit in Israel playing for Maccabi Hod. Hasharon in the Israeli National League, peaking in the leagues scoring charts, and dominating the competition as one of the few import players in the league. We start the show talking about how life in Israel is different compared to back home, what originally brought him to Canada to play, the leaps and bounds in between, and his humble beginnings. Xavier reflects on his college career taking the JUCO route at Northwest Florida State, winning a NJCAA national title and 6th man of the year award in his second season, before taking the Division 1 route with Morehead State, finishing his career with first-team all-Ohio Valley Conference honors.
We chat about his time with the London Lightning and the differences between the CEBL and NBL Canada. We also talk about how his uncle, former Toronto Raptor Jamario Moon, plays a huge role in his career. Xavier also shares some info into his new clothing line and how Kevin Ware Jr played a part in that.
