Please join our guest Rev. Pam Rossmiller and Kingswood Church as we continue our sermon series, Faith on the Red Carpet: Experiencing Faith in Cinema and Song. In this series, we explore scripture in the context of
Broadway musicals and Hollywood films. We will learn what they can teach us about faith,
following Jesus, and living as disciples. The shows include Beehive, The Lorax, The Greatest
Showman, Funny Girl, Legally Blonde, Pay It Forward, and Ragtime. There will be special music
from each film and/or musical in worship each Sunday. Today, we experience the musical/
movie, Funny Girl. This well-known musical and film features the main character, Fannie Brice,
and her determined and resilient effort to become a star, despite many challenges.
