My guest this week is fashion entrepreneur Tisha Blake. This self-starting business owner is the sole proprietor of an online boutique called fashionstyleny.com. Her website offers glamorous, but affordable women's fashion for all body-types. With a diverse array of items including sundresses, sportswear, outfits for clubbing, jewelry and shoes fashionstyleny.com is like a candy-store for online-shopping fashionistas. This fabulous idea was birthed when she took a nine-week online coarse on how to build one's own business. Her enterprise has now grown into a booming shopper's haven with many steady customers. Also as a mother to a teenaged daughter, Tisha Blake plans to take her daughter under her wing to make fashionstyleny.com a family business one day. Future goals of this savvy business owner include mother/daughter modeling of outfits and an exciting launch of a personally hand-crafted, bedazzled t-shirt line. Tisha Blake is such a wonderful role model. This intelligent, ambitious, kind and dynamic African American female business owner is exactly what both the business and fashion world needs to continue to press forward to a more empowering future. I am so honored, delighted and overjoyed to have such a remarkable guest on State of the Arts.
