Zechariah 1:2-3 KJV" The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers. [3] Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. A Change of mind, heart, and action
Repentance in the Bible is defined as a change of mind, heart, and action, by turning away from sin and self and returning to God.
Matthew 3:1-2KJV“In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 2And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
1 John 1:9 KJV- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Acts 3:19KJV - Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Luke 13:3 KJV- I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Mark 1:14 - 1:15KJVNow after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
I come to understand my need to please God. Therefore, a change is needed. I chose to answer the call to repent. God is calling each of us to turn from the things of this world to Him. Jesus says repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. It's time to claim the mansion Jesus has for me.
