On May 6, 2013, the Cleveland police received a call that they had been waiting for 10 years. Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus were alive. A third women, Michelle Knight, who had been missing even longer, was also found alive. They had been in the home of Ariel Castro, a former school bus driver. Ariel held them captive in his house of horrors. He was eventually sentenced to life plus 1,000 years. However, he committed suicide after serving less than a month in prison.
