Far too often we make giving back to God an emotional thing rather than an act of obedience. We convince ourselves that we will "know" when God is asking us to give, what He wants us to give towards, or that we will begin to give when we have reached a certain threshold in our financial journey. The reality is that God is not first and foremost interested in us giving back to him out of emotion, but rather out of obedience and recognition of where everything we have comes from.
It's counterintuitive to what the world tells us, but only when we fully submit in obedience to God will we truly be able to understand and experience the safety and security of His provision!
