The "word Islam" comes from Arabic, "aslama - yuslimu - islaaman " its mean "Peace". So Islam mean peace , love and compassion. As mentioned in the Quran, Surah Al-Anbiya (21st Surah in the Quran) Verse 107, Allah Says :" And We (Allah) have sent you ( O Muhammad, may the blessings and peace of Allah upon him) not but as a mercy for the 'alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). So the Prophet Muhammad was sent as a mercy to the whole world. As a mercy for mankind, as a mercy for jinns, as a mercy for all nation in the world.
That's why killing in Islam strictly prohibited ? Based on the Quran, the fifth Surah, Al-maidah, Verse 32, Allah Says : " if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder (and) to spread mischief in the land --- it would be as if he killed all mankind . And if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind ". (The Quran, Surah Al-Maaidah, the fifth surah. V.32 ).
This is completely contrary to the perception of most people about Islam. Why.... ? Because they are hear Islam from streets, not from the Quran, not from the Hadith and not from Islamic teaching based on the Quran. So they have the wrong perception about Islam. I would like to say, that Islam is a religion of peace. The religion that teaches love, peace and compassion. I would like to ask your apologize for my mistake and weaknesses. Let me say.
