Description

Nita Sweeney is the award-winning author of "Depression Hates a Moving Target". As the title suggests, she uses running (with her amazing doggo) to overcome mental illness.

Getting started with running and making it stick at age 49 was not easy for Nita. Now, she's run three full marathons and dozens of half-marathons since 2010. She even ran her first 50K last year. Her stories from the ongoing journey will make you laugh, cry, and go out for a run, of course.

Nita's new book, "How to Make Every Move a Meditation", comes out this summer. And it's already been mentioned in a list of anticipated workout books in the Wall Street Journal.

TRIGGER WARNING: This episode contains discussions about mental illness, substance abuse, and suicidal ideations.
