Diwali is one of the major religious festivals in Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism, and symbolizes the victory of light over darkness. Learn more about the special customs, traditional costumes, and delicious food that make this breathtaking celebration. Did you know that Diwali shares some beautiful customs, such as lighting candles and giving gifts to children by elders, with Christian Christmas, Jewish Chanukka, and the Islamic Eid al-fitr?
