First up is Cobweb, from first-time director Samuel Bodin. In it, a young boy is terrorised by unholy visions and scratching noises in walls. It’s got Homelander AKA Anthony Starr in it, who doesn’t have to do too much stretching to get that menacing parent look on his face.

Then, we have the second instalment in the Nun franchise, The Nun 2. Part of the wider Conjuring universe, The Nun 2 follows on from the previous film but with the action taking place in France, in the 50s.
Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) is back once again to do battle with the forces of evil. For fans of the Conjuring universe this is a no-brainer but for the others out there, is it worth your time?
