Cornelius, Roman, is the 1st recorded Gentile to become a follower of Christ. At the time, many Jewish christians thought salvation was only for Jews. Jesus came so that all could be saved! The same spirit that told Cornelius to send for Peter kiama also told Peter to go visit Cornelius.
