Join me and my Israeli cousin Yael Tidhar, who has been involved in the holy work of ‘Tikkun Olam’, fixing the world, in Swaziland (now known as the Kingdom of Eswatini) where she has lived for the last 20 plus years. Yael’s life’s work has been to empower marginalized youth and women through her personal example, education and mentoring.
Our grandparents were siblings who miraculously survived the Holocaust together and although we have always lived far apart from each other, and we lead different lives, we are still united in the very same mission of being a shinning light in the darkness and in bringing a kiddish HaShem, a sanctification of G-d’s name to the world.
