Adventure awaits! And for this mother-son duo there was no turning back. Although it scared Sandy, climbing mountains with her son was their greatest quality time together so she kept moving forward, one baby step at a time.

We all climb mountains in our lives. Sometimes they are physical mountains and sometimes they are spiritual or emotional ones. But whatever the mountain or the challenge is in front of you, you need to prepare for it, embrace it, and move past it so that you can get to the top of your summit, whatever that may be.

Timely parallels and lessons for the new year. May we all get to the top of the mountains in our lives and be able to pause and take a moment to look back and see just how far we have come.

Sandy Nemer currently lives in Atlanta, GA. She is a dyslexia reading teacher, and tutors from her home office. Her passions are teaching about the Holocaust, volunteering as a Mikvah attendant, and spending time with her children.
