Kristallnacht was observed this past Tuesday evening into Wednesday evening.
If there is one woman who has inspired and impacted my life so profoundly it would be my Bubby Guta. Bubby Guta was a Holocaust survivor that lived through the Warsaw ghetto uprising, 5 concentration camps, the death March, and lost her entire family. And yet, despite it all, she remarried, had a family, and raised her children with love, hope, faith and commitment. She was a true heroine. She was the greatest most Inspired Jewish Woman that I have ever known. Not a day goes by that I do not miss my Bubby Guta. There is no one in the world that could replace her on the other side of the telephone. She passed away just under two years ago, a month shy of her 99th birthday, but her story, her mark, her legacy, and her light has never been felt stronger in my life! I continue to celebrate her life and her legacy and her story and spirit will forever live on!
