Zophar is up next and he boldly declared that God is transcendent and all-powerful, existing beyond the highest heaven and the depths of the grave. The question still remains and ask yourselves: how can we truly grasp and articulate this majestic, sovereign transcendence of God, especially in the face of seemingly endless agony? How can we confidently reassure suffering friends that our God is both exalted far above all earthly powers and, at the same time, relentlessly and intimately loving? What solace is there in that combination?
Zophar with a big head, claimed to speak for God, offering hopeful outcomes if Job would only confess his sins. Job acknowledged that nothing in God's universe was beyond His control, but he had experienced the devastating side of that—pain and suffering.
