Lydia receives an invitation from Mrs. Forster, the wife of the colonel of the regiment, to accompany her to Brighton. Elizabeth cannot help but secretly advise her father not to let her go. Elizabeth and Mr. Wickham part at last with mutual civility, and possibly a mutual desire of never meeting again.
