Description

Thank you for joining this week’s episode of the Albany Update.

The stalemate at the statehouse is the lead story of the week. The State Budget was due April 1, but the Governor and the Legislature aren’t anywhere close to passing a fiscal plan.

Then, when we speak of out-of-state abortion funding, a recent NPR article highlights what that looks like. It’s truly disturbing that Empire State politicians are packing millions of abortion travel dollars into budget proposals. Abortion shouldn’t be a New York import—let alone lucrative industry.

Next, on the parental rights and school choice front, there was an important ruling that affirms parents as being the responsibly party of their child’s education.

We also have news of another scheduled speaker for our May 23 Legislative Day event in Albany.

Finally, we offer a few thoughts regarding the tragic school shooting in Nashville. It’s one more reason why churches across the state are demanding the right to appoint armed, volunteer security teams for their services.

Let’s get started.
