Often sermons on the book of Daniel have focused on Daniel's struggle to live faithfully in a corrupt world that is at odds with the principles of God's kingdom. While that struggle is certainly present, the actual conflict in the book is much greater than that. The book of Daniel is about a cosmic conflict between the Kingdom of God and the kingdoms of this world. Thus, the book of Daniel presents us with a Clash of Kings. If you read the book carefully, you will see that the message is that the Kingdom of God will triumph over the kingdoms of the world. A message that finds it fullness in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
