I love Billie, I’m not even gonna lie. I’ve personally been a fan of her music since she started, I haven’t listened to her much recently but her new song, “Your Power”, came on the radio on my way back from work this week and I couldn’t help myself from appreciating how beautiful it sounded. I did some research afterwards, since the hosts were talking about the back story behind it a little bit, and unfortunately it happened to be inspired by some not-so-good experiences she had as a minor in the music industry. I thought it related to what I try to advocate for- so we are talking about it! I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again- you would never expect or anticipate abuse of any kind at a “regular” job.
