Since 2017, Nestlé, as well as several other companies, have been facing multiple lawsuits in regards to child labour, which have been being continually dismissed by the court. The most recent one happened this year in 2021, with 8 different former child slaves seeking justice. Only to have it thrown out in the US Supreme Court because it “was not on US soil” (yet America- as well as the Ivory Coast in Africa, where these cocoa farms are- are part of the International Labour Organization).
