In 1932 Shirley Temple starred in “Baby Burlesks”, a series of short films which feature her playing some very grown-up roles, but as a child. We talk about not only her roles, but also why it’s weird Hollywood would have her insinuate sex work as a toddler, as well as their weird obsession with over-sexual using children (and pre-teens as we have seen recently from Netflix) in general.
