Chantelle and Warren Grafton are two inspiring Prince George residents with a shared passion for many great things in life, including karate, mountain biking, beer and their careers.
In June 2019, Chantelle had a mountain bike crash in Valemount that resulted in a broken neck at the highest level, c1–c3, or a hangman's fracture as it's sometimes referred to.
Chantelle was medevaced to Edmonton where she spent the next 43 days. Chantelle then spent one month in Vancouver's General Hospital, she was able to gain her voice back. She then spent a little over three months in the GF Strong Rehab Facility, where Chantelle spent time with many people in similar situations.
Chantelle and Warren have very fantastic and ambitious goals set for the future, many of which involve the sport of karate. These two human beings are the epitome of strength, perseverance and inspiration. It was an honour to have them on the podcast.
