Description

Taking inspiration from artists such as Lorde,
The Japanese House, London Grammar, and
James Blake, Lunar June is a UK artist on the
ascendant. Her own unique sound blends the
reflective lyricism and story-telling of the folk
music she grew up on, meshed with the
shimmering synths and dance-fuelled
production of the electronic, indie and pop
music she came to love.
With an array of collaborations with the likes
of Kölsch and Franky Wah, and performances
at All Points East under her belt, it is now the
turn of Lunar June to crash–land on pop’s Earth
planet, with a clutch of new stellar tracks in
her armoury. 2023 has already seen the
release of her debut EP, which includes the
sparkling, scintillating single ‘holding onto u’,
championed by Phil Taggart, who pegged
Lunar as "one of his favourite new artists of the
year," alongside ‘you/feeling’, which has been
supported right across the board, from
Wonderland to NME, and on a radio tip, key
support from none other than BBC
Introducing’s Melita Dennett and Radio 1’s
Gemma Bradley.

June’s latest release - angsty hyper-pop
anthem, ‘heart scream summer’ - has proven
that she’s not just a one-trip pony, and the
artist is beginning to turn heads. With a
thought-provoking and unique music video to
go alongside it, it’s apparent that there is so
much more to come from Lunar June
