Of course everyone thinks of Sex and the City when they hear about the Cosmopolitan cocktail. In addition to the TV show details, Melody and Bugbee found a collection of different origin stories as well as a new vocabulary word. Bugbee even provides a captivating comparison between SATC and Nirvana.
Cosmopolitan Recipe:
1 1/2 oz Vodka Citron,
1 oz Cranberry juice,
1/2 oz Cointreau, or triple sec or orange liquor
1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
Preparation:
Preparation: Add all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and double strain into large cocktail glass. Garnish with lime wheel.
Served: Straight up; without ice
Standard garnish: Lemon slice, Lime wedge, orange twist
Drinkware: Cocktail glass
