Growing up, I didn't see healthy models of self-love. Seldom did I see people who were committed to loving themselves, or even remotely interested in exploring what it means to love themselves. Now, as an adult when I see people, and especially brown women embodying the practice of self-love, I'm in awe and so keen on knowing more about their journey.
Bali Deol, aka Lady B, is an example of a brown woman I met as an adult who is digging deep into loving herself. In this episode, I ask her what it means to truly love herself and how she's committing herself to the practice of self-love. We also end up talking a lot about the power of telling our own stories.
