About the Guest Speaker;
Gaurav is a Healthcare consulting professional with over 10 years of industry experience across government agencies, Big4 consulting firms, start-ups, community hospitals, and pharmacies. Currently working at PwC in Consulting & Deals.
He has worked across 3 continents - Asia, Europe, and North America. He is a Biomedical Engineer by education followed by MS in International Health Management from the UK. He always wanted to be in healthcare in any capacity. My motivation for healthcare management comes from an internship experience at Max Hospital New Delhi while in Engineering. There he experienced healthcare management first-hand and found it very challenging and very impactful. His career is woven around the 3Ps - Persistence, Perseverance, and Paying forward.

Bibaswan Ghoshal has over 12 years of experience in biosciences in both industry and academia including his area of expertise in bioinformatics, digital health, and commercialization. Currently, he is working as a Director of Market Acceleration at the Ontario Bioscience Innovation Organization (OBIO) where he leads the Early Adopter Health Network (EAHN) program that assists the adoption of innovative Canadian technologies in the Canadian health systems. Before OBIO, he was working as a Research Commercialization Manager at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) where he managed and commercialized new innovative technologies and startups in neuroinformatics and digital mental health. Before that, he was working as a Senior Bioinformatician at Mount Sinai Hospital where he was an integral part in producing high-quality publications. He obtained an MSc in Psychiatry from the University of Alberta and is currently waiting to obtain his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the same university. Bibaswan is also the co-founder and President of "The Edmonton Movie Club", a Canadian non-profit organization that promotes Indian regional language movies in Canada with a mission to bridge cultures through cinema and hosts the India Film Festival of Alberta annually. Along with his career, Bibaswan is also involved in science communication through his social media, blog, and poetry. Bibaswan has been featured in several media interviews, podcasts, and scicomm shows and has received multiple awards and accolades from various granting agencies in Canada including the University and Government for both his academic and social work.
