We're talking sports on this episode of Two Dudes, Brews and Reviews, although only kinda. Moneyball, the least baseball related baseball movie to exist, and it's all the better for it. Starring fantastic performances by Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill, as well as nice supporting roles by Robin Wright and Phillip Seymour Hoffman, we're both entranced by how this film is able to milk every ounce of drama from usually dry topics such as finance and mathematics (it's the Ford vs. Ferrari effect as Alex would say). Aside from that, we both have brief conversations about writing songs, director Bennet Miller, and Austin details a recent trip to the local Rivertown Brewing - including trying habanero-infused beer (we both think spicy beers are a total gimmick). For some reason Austin thinks the stout we drank for this episode tastes like "beefstick" - I'll leave it at that...thanks to all of y'all for listening.
