Ultimately, the Brasilian president Bolsonaro being taken to court over his handling of the pandemic is of severe consequence. Will it send a sign, perhaps taking some of the shine from the country self-proclaiming itself the 'beacon of light', to the world with a resounding message that top government officials should be checked and brought in line with a fairer, more equally distributed society that benefits all.
