Professor Catherine Sanderson discusses resilience, how mindset and thought patterns influence our health and our ability to be happy, and things we can do to cultivate our resilience. She also talks about the psychology of inaction, and why good people don't speak up.

Professor Sanderson is a speaker, author, and professor of psychology at Amherst College. She received a bachelor's degree from Stanford University, and received both masters and doctoral degrees in psychology from Princeton University. Her research spans topics such as the science of happiness, the power of emotional intelligence, the mind-body connection, and the psychology of good and evil. She speaks regularly and has been featured in numerous mainstream media outlets. Her most recent books include “The Positive Shift: Mastering Mindset for Happiness, Health, and Longevity” and “Why We Act: Turning Bystanders into Moral Rebels”
