Good Friday with Jesus

Mark 2:14-17 KJVS - 14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphæus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.
16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Does being a Christian preclude you from mingling with unbelievers? What was Jesus doing with the tax collectors and sinners of his day? He attended parties and ate with them in the open. Why did he do this? He did this to reap a following from amongst them. Did he do this a child or as an adult? Of course he did this as an adult.
1 Corinthians 2:6 NLT - Yet when I am among mature believers, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world or to the rulers of this, who are soon forgotten.
As a child, Jesus was not found in clubs or parties, eating and drinking with sinners. He was found preaching and teaching in the temple. Mingling with sinners and making friends with unbelievers is not a thing for the spiritually or physically immature. A child who does so will only backside.
Be party- wise! Let the Lord lead you in all the social gatherings you decide or decide not to attend. And whatever your reason is, ensure you are led by the Spirit of God being led by God’s Spirit is the sign that you are mature.
Romans 8:14 AMP - For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are (mature) sons of God.
