Read Genesis 4

Genesis 4:25-26 NLT - Adam had sexual relations with his wife again, and she gave birth to another son. She named him Seth, for she said, “God has granted me another son in place of Abel, whom Cain killed.” ²⁶ When Seth grew up, he had a son and named him Enosh. AT THAT TIME PEOPLE FIRST BEGAN TO WORSHIP THE LORD BY NAME.
All of Adam’s descendants from Cain up unto Lamech were not known to be worshippers of God in any way. In fact, Lamech who was the seventh generation from Adam, via Cain, ended up marrying two wives and also, killing someone. Sin continued to reign through the line of Cain so much so that it culminated in murder and polygamy or adultery as we see it in the seventh generation. In the absence of love for God, we find hatred and murder and all kinds of sins.
Genesis 4:23-24 KJV - And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
²⁴ If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.
It was when God gave Adam and Eve another child in the place of Abel whom Cain killed, that we see there began to arise on the face of the earth a group of people who loved the Lord and made time and space to worship Him. Loving God is a gift that God gives to people that He Himself loves. God loved Seth, and gave him in the stead of Abel whom Adam and Eve lost.
When David committed a sin with Bathsheba, because was not pleased, He killed the baby that issued out of that union. But when David repented and had another baby with Bathsheba, God loved this new baby called Solomon and the child also grew up loving God( 2 Samuel 12).

2Samuel 12:24 KJVS - And David comforted Bath–sheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and THE LORD LOVED HIM.
1 Kings 3:3 KJVS – AND SOLOMON LOVED THE LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father:

You can only love God when God has specially decided to pour His love on you. God gives a faithful seed or remnant in every generation. If you find that you are drawn to the Lord, don’t take it lightly. That is a great sign that you are one of God’s faithfuls planted in the land. If you love the Lord and find that to be all that you ever have to offer Him, don’t think little of that : you are actually a treasure.

Psalm 101:6 KJVS - Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me...
