*FOCUS ON RECEIVING FAVOUR FROM GOD*
Live Daily Die Daily Footstool Devotional
Isaiah 61:1,2 KJV - The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to... proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God;

The acceptable year of the Lord is the year or time that God accepts you. Other versions of the Bible render that statement as , “ to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour”. The acceptable year of the Lord is the time that you give yourself to fully do what makes God like you more. It takes a certain understanding to cooperate fully with God in obeying His commands and doing His will. It takes the anointing God to make you live and do the things that causes God’s attention or favour to be set on you. Receive the anointing that makes it easy for you to follow God.

Psalm 119:32-33 NIV - ³² I run in the path of your commands,
for you have broadened my understanding.
³³ Teach me, LORD, the way of your decrees,
that I may follow it to the end.

When you start to follow God’s commands freely , out of your heart, you become favoured. When God turns His face towards you, His anger is turned away from you onto your enemies. That is why receiving God’s favour is almost always coupled with God’s anger being turned onto your enemies, in the Scriptures. The acceptable year of the Lord is the time of your life where God ceases to be angry with you but rather angry with your enemies, because you have risen to the point of doing all that pleases Him.

Psalm 30:5 KJV - For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

It is not your job to go after your enemies and take revenge for whatever wrong they have done to you. It is your job to commit yourself to receiving favour from God by doing what is right in the sight of God, no matter what people think about you. When the anointing comes upon you, the Holy Spirit convinces you and causes you to understand how to live in such a way as to be accepted by God and not necessarily others. And that’s how you step into favour with God.
