SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP

Zechariah 8:7-8 KJVS
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; [8] And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
Aaaaw! You can tell from the above scripture God's seriousness of resolution to do all He can to have a relationship with us established on all accuracy (truth) and rightness (righteousness). He doesn't want us to have misconceptions about Him. He wants a relationship established upon truth and righteousness.
God wants a relationship. God wants a relationship with us, and we need to understand that that's why He made us. God wants someone who can understand Him and love Him just the way He is- with all His "many demands and specifications, if we think there are"- and He is hoping to find someone who really likes Him for who He is and who will conclude and spread the truth that He is not a bad person (but upright indeed).
1) " *Thus saith the LORD of hosts: BEHOLD I WILL SAVE MY PEOPLE FROM THE EAST COUNTRY AND FROM THE WEST COUNTRY"* This is all that God is hoping to do through His salvation. He uses all His power and strength to speak about a people whom He would work so hard to save, no matter how far they gone from Him, just so that He can get them to really understand Him and have them relate with Him in purity of truth and righteousness.
2) *And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem* :
God will work very hard to bring you close to Himself. Never think that when you are feeling far from God, God is okay about it. Anytime you feel that He is not near, it's because you have gone so far away, and God never stands aloof in such cases. He is always planning how to bring you back! " I will bring them!..." God wants to bring you into the midst of other people He has worked on who are loving Him unreservedly. God wants to bring you back into " the midst of Jerusalem" where you can remember home and how you two have walked before or can have things that will cause you to remember who He is. He wants to bring you back into an awareness of Him.
3) " *and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness* ." God wants people and that's why He made us. More specifically God wants " personal people". People He can speak of in very fond ways and who can also relate back in average affectionate way. E doesn't want people who do not feel anything towards Him. He doesn't want people who are always behaving as if He is too hard to please, and so UNRIGHTEOUS. He doesn't want people who think He is bad. True salvation is to come to a place where you can relate with God in all truth and righteousness. You are truly saved when you can be straight with God and He can also be straight with you.
Don't only think about you getting to save your skin and avoid hell when you are inching towards salvation. Also think about God. Think how happy He will be to have you. Think how rewarding it will be for Him to have eventually succeeded in saving you with all the effort that He put in. And then respond in love.
