Matthew 13:3 KJVS
And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
Matthew 13:8 KJVS
But other fell into good ground, and BROUGHT FORTH FRUIT, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Matthew 13:23 KJVS
But he that received seed into the GOOD GROUND is he that HEARETH the word, and UNDERSTANDETH it; which also BEARETH FRUIT, and BRINGETH FORTH, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

What makes a ground a good ground? It’s simple. The fact that a ground can support a tree to the point of it bearing fruit makes it a good ground. A land that can bring forth fruit is the good land or the good ground.
If a land can only bring forth thorns and allow the thorns to overtake seeds that are intentionally planted within it, then that land is deemed a wicked land in the sight of God. Ground that does not bring forth fruit unto the sower and others is not a good ground. And if you are not good to your boss, then you are likely a wicked person. There’s no middle ground.
If a land can only be stony and not allow the growth of deep roots within it, then that land is not good unto the sower. A good ground should allow the growth of deep roots of the Word of God in that life. A good ground should make an effort to understand the Word of the Kingdom that is sown in it. If you are not good to your boss, who is the Sower, then you are likely a wicked person. Become a good ground.
If a land will not allow the Word of the Kingdom sown into it to be covered but will rather be a wayside ground which allows devouring birds to pick up its seeds, then that ground is not a good ground. A good ground makes room for the seed in it to be properly planted, buried in the ground so that other predator birds will not destroy it. If you are not good to your boss who is the Sower, then you are a most likely a wicked person. But you can be a good ground. Decide to be a good ground. Ask God to make you a good ground. Become a good ground today.
A good ground is fertile. It simply yields fruits. How do you become fruitful? Make an effort to hear the Word of God. Make an effort to understand it. Make an effort to bear fruit by the Word of God, that is , act upon your faith in the Word of God and do something with the Word the way He wills it so that God will be pleased. And then lastly, make an effort to bring forth not one or two fruits, but more and more fruits abundantly. Get into the multiples of thirties, sixties and hundreds! These are the four steps to take in order to become a good ground- hear, understand, bear fruit, and bring forth more and more fruits.
You can be a good ground for the Lord today! Just give it a try and with His help you’ll be amazed how useful you can be to the Lord!
