For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
God wants you to mature through the narrow way, and not the broad way. In Christianity, it matters the method you use to acquire things or become accomplished or complete, mature or perfected. The way you go through to “get to the top” matters more than you simply getting to “the top”, with no particular attention to the way. Jesus said “I am the way”, so it matters the way you take.
You can only qualify to be a captain of salvation for others when you yourself allow yourself to become mature by suffering with Christ. You can only have power to help others get saved when you allow yourself to get accomplished through a tight revelation and relationship with Christ’s sufferings.
Make a decision today to choose to lose, Sacrifice and die for the sake of other people who’s salvation is connected to yours.
If several ships are supposed to ferry people over to heaven, understand that your union with Christ can make you a captain of one of those ships meant to save souls. God wants you to be the captain of other people’s salvation, and the sacrifice required is for you to be perfected through suffering.
