( Healing for the Nations) RECEIVE THE SPIRIT
Live Daily Footstool Devotional
John 7:37-39 KJVS
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. [38] He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. [39] (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
There comes a point where you receive what you have always believed for. Believing in the Holy Spirit is not the same as receiving the Holy Spirit according to the scriptures. There is a difference. Both are powerful, yet one is meant to lead to the other, which is even more powerful.
Believing is a great thing that is meant to lead each and everyone who believes to the place of receiving what they have been believing for. When you receive the Spirit, He will stay in you forever! And not only that, He will make you a source of the anointing ( rivers of living water will come out of your belly) unto several others.
There comes a point when the Holy Spirit is given for the purpose of Him being received ( and not just to be believed on per se) by those who want Him. How do you know that the Holy Ghost is being given at a point? You will know the Holy Ghost is being given when it coincides with the time that Jesus the Son of God is being glorified. Jesus is glorified when He gives His life ( in death) to get many in return.
John 12:23-24 KJVS
And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. [24] Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
The Spirit is given for the purpose of multiplying the seed of God to bring glory to God. When you desire to receive from God for the purpose of giving to others what you have receive from Him, then the Spirit will be given to you.
John 15:8 KJVS
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
