*REMEMBER TO FEAR*
LIVE DAILY FOOTSTOOL DEVOTIONAL
The fear of God is something to REMEMBER to do. You can easily forget to fear God, especially when you step into a place of riches and abundance after getting there through obedience to God's Word.
Deuteronomy 6:10-13 KJVS
And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, [11] And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; [12] Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. [13] Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
Why do we easily forget to fear God? It's because fear has a lot to do with what is set right in front of you. Fear is an awareness of something that is around and that calls for your attention. Because so many things compete for our attention all the time, many of which we end up giving our attention to even without realising, we need to agree to make a conscious effort to REMEMBER THE FEAR OF THE LORD. You will not fear God if you are not conscious to do so.
Psalm 16:8 KJVS
*I have set the LORD always before me* : because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
You must consciously set the Lord before you. You must work hard on becoming aware of who God is all the time. You must do this actively and consciously in your mind, otherwise you will not get far with God and His purpose for your life.
