*SAVED BY HOPE*
Live Daily Footstool Devotional

Romans 8:24-25 KJVS
For *we are saved by hope:* but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? [25] But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Without the element of hope, one cannot be saved. Salvation that comes from God always features the element of hope. What is hope? Hope encompasses strings of promises that something will happen, yet without it being seen. It will take time and endurance and continual belief in the promises of God as well as intercession to bring the thing to come to pass. The purpose of hope in salvation is to ensure that the thing made or born is done so by love and not flesh or sin or pride. Love is patient. It always hopes. ( 1 Cor 13:4-8)

Romans 8:26-27 KJVS
*Likewise* the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: p for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. [27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Salvation comes by hope. Hope means whatever God promises will take time to come to pass. And the reason why it takes the time it does is to give man the opportunity to coorperate with The Spirit through intercession ( instead of accusation), to bring what God has promised to come to pass. The purpose of intercession is much like the role and purpose of hope in bringing salvation. Hope gives the church an opportunity to participate in every activity that brings forth God's glory. We are called to hope. We are called to receive God's promises through patience and intercession.

Ephesians 4:4 KJVS
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are *called in one hope of your calling;*
