*SEDUCING SPIRITS AND YOUR DUTY*

1 Timothy 4:1-5 KJVS - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to SEDUCING SPIRITS, and doctrines of devils;
² Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
³ Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
⁴ For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
⁵ For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
The word seduce is from the Latin “ se-ducere”. “Se” means “ away or apart” and “ducere” means “to lead”. Ducere is also the Latin root word for education, which means to be able to draw out information and use it to lead others. “Seducere” means “ to persuade someone to abandon their duty.”
It is man’s duty to FEAR GOD( Eccl 12:13). Anything that draws you away from things which when engaged in increases your fear of God, are things that are directly from seducing spirits. The more you sit with the Bible to discover God’s Word and learn His commandments, the more your fear of God increases. Anything that persuades you against discovering more of God’s Word should be dealt with severely. The more you sit with educative books, the more your wonder and awe about things that have been made by God increase. Discovering more about creation, and the laws that govern life and activities makes you increase your fear of God. Anything that draws you away from reading, learning and being schooled and discipled so that you receive more light and knowledge is of the darkness- it should be dealt with severely. Seducing spirits act to disrupt what you know about God that makes you fear Him. Seducing spirits lead you away from education- they make you believe you cannot learn something, or can never go higher in learning. Seducing spirits lead you away from knowing more of the truth.
As Christians, it is our duty to FOLLOW JESUS( Matt 4:19). God’s Spirit of truth is the leading Spirit- He guides us into all truth (John 16:13). Seducing spirits lead us away from true leadership that is destined to save our lives. Seducing spirits make us rebel against God-sent leadership so that we never get discipled into our true calling and destiny. Seducing spirits make us abandon following true leadership, which is our duty. Anything that inspires you to no longer follow any one whom God has sent to you, but rather for you to either be all about yourself, or step in as a leader of others who follows no-one, and not even Jesus, that is a seducing spirit. Never get persuaded by anything that leads you to kick against following Jesus and those He gives to you to serve you with salvation.
Seducing spirits want you to abandon your duty of fearing God. Be smarter. Stay glued to fearing God all the days of your life- because is all the duty God requires from you while on this earth.
