Prior to pastoring, I served as a worship leader for fifteen years. The concept of music in church has the capacity to be inherently divisive. It is a bit like politics these days, everyone has an opinion and the worship leader has the thankless job of prayerfully selecting worship that is befitting a worship service. But have you ever stopped to consider why we sing songs in the first place? In Deuteronomy 30 and 31, Moses composes a song with a very specific intent.  We learn about this song and it’s purpose on today’s podcast. It can teach us the power of a song, but more than that a potent lesson on the faithfulness of God.
