I’m sure you’ve seen it in your kids. Have they ever acted like you were being so incredibly mean to them only to realize later that the advice you were giving them was actually in their best interest? Sometimes it’s frustrating they feel as if you are ruthlessly punishing them. It can take years for them to realize that you were actually trying to help them. This familiar theme of parenting is outlined for us in on a much grander scale through the book of Esther. God’s people felt as if God did not love them because of all that had transpired. But when you examine the events a bit closer, nothing could be further from the truth.
