When is a feud more than a feud? The word feud comes from the English word “hatred” and the French word for war. These blood feuds often lasted generations. The Hatfield-McKoy tiff is perhaps the most iconic feud to date. But when is a feud more than a feud? Well, in Esther 3, we learn today the generational consequence of a feud eight generations in the making. But concealed behind the human vitriol, we can see the divine fingerprints of a God working to both admonish and eventually protect His people.
