The game of chess requires that you learn to think ahead of your opponent. Being two or even three steps ahead prepares you well to make the moves necessary to accomplish your objective of capturing the king and winning the game. But when it comes to the game of life, sometimes the pieces move in our lives in a random and unexpected manner. It is in these moments that we often come to realize that we are not in charge of the chess board of our lives. But this disorienting reality can become the pathway to an even greater divine revelation. While we may not understand the moves played out on the chessboard of our lives, there is ONE who is thinking five, six, steps ahead of us and we can trust His divine decisions.
