Since humanity was banned from the garden after the presence of sin, society has tried in vain to return to the utopian promise that the garden represented. Various iterations of political, societal, and religious groups have failed to achieve the worldwide stability, harmony, peace, and prosperity that the garden outlined. But just because it hasn’t happened yet, doesn’t mean it won’t. In fact, the whole of redemptive history is aimed towards restoring creation that Edenic reality. It’s a promise outlined for us Isaiah 11 and on today’s podcast we’ll consider the implication of that promise for us today and how we might live in response to that coming existence.
