Description

Webster defines the word portrait as, “a painting, drawing, or engraving of a person.” It is designed to, as closely as possible, resemble or “portray” the likeness of the person after whom the portrait is modeled. In Isaiah 53, we see the prophet’s most stunning attempt to portray the King who was to become the Servant. This Servant would be “successful” in redeeming the people of God both physically and spiritually.  On today’s podcast we’ll consider the portrait of this Servant slain for our transgressions and what HIs coming means to the overall story of God’s redemption.
