I have always been a fan of acoustic worship music. One of my favorite artists is two guys named Shane and Shane. I’ll never forget the first song on their album, “Pages.” The name of the song is Vision of You, and there was a line in it that I’ve never gotten over. The song is a really simple prayer asking God to give us a bigger understanding of who He is. The line that really got my attention said, “may the vision of you be the death of me.” I’ve never forgotten that line and every time I read this chapter, I am reminded of that song. Because on today’s podcast, we meet a prophet who thought the vision of God He encountered would indeed be the death of Him. Oh that we would catch a glimpse of such glory and splendor.
