It’s a classic gaslighting technique that was first utilized during the propaganda tactics of World War II by Nazi politician Joseph Goebbels. It’s also been used widely by several Marxist theorists including Lenin and Marx himself. It’s the technique of accusing your opponent of that which you are currently doing thereby causing confusion and speculation. It might surprise you to find it levied against God Himself in Isaiah 65 by none other than His own people. On today’s podcast, we’ll consider the lunacy of their argument. We’ll also look at the hope that remains for the remnant of those who remain faithful to God’s covenant promise.
