If someone was asked what defines who you are, what might they say? When asked to describe who you are in one word, what adjectives might they use. Funny, smart, wealthy, bitter, happy, irresponsible? There are all kinds of words we throw around to describe people, but RIGHTEOUS is not one that might immediately come to mind and yet it is to be the cornerstone on which we should build our lives. But not our own righteousness, but as followers of Jesus, HIS righteousness on our behalf. This should define who we are. It’s a truth displayed for us today from Jeremiah 33 and it deserves our attention and reflection.
