It was one of my dad’s favorite things he had me to recite as a child. Obedience is doing what you are told to do, when you are told to do it, with the right heart attitude. Jonah 2 demonstrates a prophet in process. At first, he wouldn’t do what he was told to do. He’s late coming to do it, and his attitude isn’t right in doing so. Nonetheless, he does seem repentance of his rebellion even if it is for the wrong reasons. Today on the podcast, we’ll consider is that even repentance at all or is it just posturing to escape pain.
