Have you ever said something to your kids over and over and they just never seemed to listen? I mean no matter how many times you repeatedly told them this truth, they just seemed deaf to it? And then someone else said the exact same thing to them and they acted as if it was the greatest truth that they had ever heard? This left you thinking really? I mean I’ve only told you that 100 times already. But for whatever reason, when someone else told them, it hit different. Well in Joshua chapter 1 God comes to this relatively inexperienced leader with some familiar truths, but somehow when God says them, they have a little bit more force behind them.
